We practiced the ikebana with pampas grass and chrysanthemums for the autumn event called Tsukimi in Japan. There is a custom to appreciate the full moon in Septembre with decorating the miscanthus and offering the small rice cakes on the day of the full moon at this season as it is considered the most beautiful full moon in a year.
